【摘要】:Thisguidedescribesdifferentmathematicalmethodsthatmaybeusedtocalculateabsorbeddoseandcriteriafortheirselection.Absorbeddosecalculationsdeterminetheeffectivenessoftheradiationprocess,estimatetheabsorbed-dosedistributioninproduct,orsupplementand/orcomplementdosimetrymeasurements.Radiationprocessingisanevolvingfieldandannotatedexamplesareprovidedintoillustratetheapplicationswheremathematicalmethodshavebeensuccessfullyapplied.Whilenotlimitedbytheapplicationscitedintheseexamples,applicationsspecifictoneutrontransport,radiationtherapyandshieldingdesignarenotaddressedinthisdocument.Thisguidecoversthecalculationofradiationtransportofelectronsandphotonsintheenergyrangeof0.1to25MeV.ThemathematicalmethodsdescribedincludeMonteCarlo,pointkernel,discreteordinate,semi-empiricalandempiricalmethods.Generalpurposesoftwarepackagesareavailableforthecalculationofthetransportofchargedand/orneutralparticlesandphotonsfromvarioustypesofsourcesofionizingradiation.ThisstandardislimitedtotheuseofthesesoftwarepackagesorothermathematicalmethodsforthedeterminationofspatialdosedistributionsforphotonsemittedfollowingthedecayofCsorCo,energeticelectronsfromparticleaccelerators,orbremsstrahlunggeneratedbyelectronaccelerators.Thisguideassiststheuserindeterminingifmathematicalmethodsareausefultool.Thisguidemayassisttheuserinselectinganappropriatemethodforcalculatingabsorbeddose.Note1-Theuserisurgedtoapplythesepredictivetechniqueswhilebeingawareoftheneedforexperienceandalsotheinherentlimitationsofboththemethodandtheavailablesoftware.Informationpertainingtoavailabilityandupdatestocodesformodelingradiationtransport,courses,workshopsandmeetingscanbefoundin.Forabasicunderstandingofradiationphysicsandabriefoverviewofmethodselection,referto.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
