【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecovershowdirect(straight)rotary-drillingprocedureswithwater-baseddrillingfluidsmaybeusedforgeoenvironmentalexplorationandinstallationofsubsurfacewater-qualitymonitoringdevices.Thetermdirectwithrespecttotherotary-drillingmethodofthisguideindicatesthatawater-baseddrillingfluidispumpedthroughadrill-rodcolumntoarotatingbit.Thedrillingfluidtransportscuttingstothesurfacethroughtheannulusbetweenthedrill-rodcolumnandtheboreholewall.Thisguidedoesnotincludeconsiderationsforgeotechnicalsitecharacterizationthatareaddressedinaseparateguide.1.2Direct-rotarydrillingforgeoenvironmentalexplorationandmonitoring-deviceinstallationswillofteninvolvesafetyplanning,administrationanddocumentation.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttospecificallyaddressexplorationandsitesafety.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
